Vivid Studio Insider for March 22, 2002

Getting Naked is Optional -- If you're in Florida next week (don't we all wish we could be

there?) be sure to stop by the Wet Grooves Party at the Shelbourne Hotel Poolside in Miami

Beach on Monday, March 25th. You just might meet Vivid Girls Taylor Hayes and Heather

Hunter, who are hostesses for the open-to-the-public bash. It's presented by Vivid

Entertainment, World Party, World Event Management and Club Naked. Spinning by DJs

Armand van Helden, Junior Sanchez, Donald Glaude, Charles Feelgood, Mark Lewis, Ivano

Bellini, Jo Mills and JP Rigaud. It all happens from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. at 1801 Collins Avenue.

Go and have fun.

If You Can't Make It Monday in Miami, Try Thursday. -- Vivid's hosting another party at

Club Spin in South Beach (320 Lincoln Road) on Thursday March 28th. Our Vivid Girl

Superstars will be on hand at the open-to-the public party presented by Vivid Entertainment, X-

Mix Productions in association with Armed Records, Cube Recordings, Magnetic Recordings, Seven

Magazine, Vice Magazine and Cakewalk. DJs at this fling are Armand Van Helden, DJ Sneak,

Felix da Housecat and Junior Sanchez.

Austin Rocked -- Vivid hosted a major blowout at the Hardrock Cafe in Austin last weekend to

kick off the South by Southwest music conference. Taylor Hayes was among the Vivid talent

on hand, where our party co-hosts were Hits magazine and Xthreads clothing. Hits magazine

wrote up the feature on its "Daily Double" site and said the evening was "an unqualified smash"

with the who's who of the music industry in attendance. The party wrapped up with the sounds of

Piston Honda among others. Among the bands and stars showcased at the SXSW confab were

Britband Starsailor, punk newcomers Riddlin Kids, new Icelandic rap-metal band Quarashi,

plus the Lo-Fidelity Allstars, The Ataris and the X-Ecutioners, Indie bands like Philadelphia's

File 13, Austin's own The Burning Brides, AM/FM and Matt Pond PA, the Drive-By

Truckers, and the all-girl AC/DC tribute band, Hell's Bell's.

Didja Catch Nightline? -- Ted Koppel did a full program on the adult industry on Friday March 15th, (ABC) and for the most part gave a balanced presentation. His major conclusion is that adult is a big, big business (he says $10 billion a year) with lots of participation by huge American companies and that it isn't going away. Among those appearing on the show were Vivid President Bill Asher and Vivid Girl Jenna Jameson.

Jenna's All Biz (Well, Almost All) -- Forbes Magazine usually writes about industry bigwigs but if you buy the magazine next week you'll read about another CEO -- our own Vivid Girl Jenna Jameson. Forbes was interested in the enormously popular star for her role as head of ClubJenna, Inc., which produces videos (that are distributed by Vivid), manages Websites, licenses products and does a bunch of other stuff to keep America's juices flowing. If you've ever wondered "How'd they do that?" when watching a Vivid DVD, you can find out from Vivid's co-chairman David James, who explains the company's technologically advanced DVDs in the Forbes article.

Cheyenne's a Wildcat. The RTL Erotica Website says Cheyenne Silver is a "wildcat in action." She's just the latest Vivid Girl to be featured on s major European Internet site. RTL is the top television network in Germany and it's Erotica site has already done a profile of Vivid and a feature on Briana Banks.

Not too Korny -- E! Online ran an item this week in "Ted Casablanca's The Awful Truth" gossip column about a Vivid link with Jonathan Davis of Korn. E! says he's going to direct an upcoming Vivid Video. Stay tuned!
