Vivid/Revolver Party a Smash: The Vivid Girls' threw a fabulous "We Love New York City" party at SPA on Wednesday in The Big Apple. Dasha, Taylor Hayes, Jenna Jameson, Kira Kener and Savanna Samson were the main magnets at a packed club for the party co-hosted with Revolver magazine. Celebrities at the party included Chlo? Sevigny ("Boys Don't Cry," "American Psycho"), Drea De Matteo ("The Sopranos"), several actors from HBO's "Oz," and actor Johnny Knoxville ("Deuces Wild" and "Men in Black II" with Will Smith). Knoxville, who hosts the "Jackass Show" on MTV, got through the evening without pulling any of his trademark "silly pranks and ridiculous stunts." With Revolver as co-host there were plenty of record label artists and execs in attendance. Guitarist Dan Donegan and vocalist David Draiman of the band Disturbed were among the rock groups stopping by to meet the Vivid Girls, along with hip hop artist Knoc-Turn'al, whose "Bad Intentions" album from Elektra Records is getting lots of play. Doc and Dallas from grunge rock band God Forbid also showed up to meet the Vivid Girls, who mingled with fans and posed for photos into the early morning hours to the delight of dozens of press photographers.Who's the "Weakest Dink"? Five beautiful Vivid Girls played a parody of "The Weakest Link" termed "The Weakest Dink" in a half-hour appearance on "The Howard Stern Show" Friday. Howard, unsurprisingly, asked multiple ridiculous questions that even the eventual winner, Savanna Samson, got tripped up by. Before the girls played Stern asked his usual barrage of questions about their sexual preferences, their family lives and their relationships with one another. After the brief interviews, the match was on! Taylor Hayes and Dasha were the first two eliminated after being asked a series of questions. They promptly moved to the corner to make out, to the delight of Stern and others in the studio. Kira Kener missed a question and was next up on the elimination list. In the final round Jenna Jameson and Savanna Samson went one-on-one, with Jenna losing in a tiebreaker as her correct answer came in just a nanosecond after the buzzer sounded. A $10,000 prize went to a lucky listener, a schoolteacher named Rod who was paired with Savanna.
Revolver Shoots the Vivid Girls: Dasha, Taylor Hayes and Savanna Samson posed the day away at a photo shoot for Revolver magazine in New York City this week. They wore naughty grown up schoolgirl outfits and posed together and individually. The issues with their pictorials will be on newsstands later this year. Kira and Jenna have appeared in Revolver previously.
"Fade to Black" Still Shining Bright: The film has already been honored by Adult Video News, Adam Film World and the X-rated Critics Organization, and now "Fade to Black" has been nominated for a Home Entertainment Award by the Video Software Dealers Association (VSDA). It's in the running for "Best Adult Title of the Year" in the prestigious VSDA contest. Vivid has won three previous VSDA awards. It seems that "Fade to Black" continues to fascinate mainstream media. Paul Thomas, the film's award-winning director, will be talking about "Fade to Black" on the "Andy Savage Morning Show" on KNDD-FM in Seattle June 10th.
