FEELING GOOD ABOUT SEX FLICKS –

Fox News Magazine asked its readers to decide how they

feel about pornography in a “we report, you decide”

segment last week. Host Laurie Duhe

noted that today’s reality television programs

are “based mostly on sexual relations” and

but there’s another form of sexual reality –

the porn flick. One guest on the program, writer Tristan

Taormino, cited recent estimates of the number

of adult videos rented each year and said “there

can’t be one million perverts out there renting

700 pornos a year.” Vivid co-chairman Steven

Hirsch says that actresses in adult films perform

willingly and in fact Vivid always spends time with

would-be performers and asks them to “think about

it” before they begin their acting careers. Vivid

Girl Sunrise Adams said, “I love what

I do and if you’re ashamed of what you’re

doing you shouldn’t be in this business.”

As for the end product, Vivid Girl Jenna Jameson

said she wants “people to feel good about watching

sex films.”

PORN STAR BALL ROCKS ON -- The Porn

Star Ball 2003 Tour of the U.S. is rocking on. Last

Saturday’s event at After Hour Power at

Factory in Hollywood was an unbelievable

success. The place was packed through the night and

the party sizzled until 9:30 Sunday morning as world

famous DJ Donald Glaude kept the sounds

spinning for celebs who included Tom Lenk

(he plays Andrew, one of the Evil Trio of “Buffy

the Vampire Slayer,” acoustic guitarist

Dimitri Diatchenko who took time out

from a cross-country tour and four battlers from WWE’s

Smackdown show. Now The Porn Star Ball moves

on to San Francisco for a stop at Sound Factory

(at 525 Harrison Street) on August 1st…

and then across country to Miami Beach at Opium

Garden (at 136 Collins Avenue). Each event

features a contest with a $750 1st prize and two $125

runner up prizes in which the world famous Vivid Girls

select three finalists for the come-as-your-favorite-porn-star

competition, the winner is then chosen by the audience.

JENNA SCORES AT G-PHORIA AWARDS SHOW

– Vivid Girl Jenna Jameson was

honored at the G-Phoria Awards Show

Wednesday night (Aug. 30) for Best Live Acton/Voice

Performance-Female at a lavish ceremony at

the Henry Fonda Theater. She accepted

the award for her performance in the best-selling Rockstar

video game GTA Vice City: Grand Theft Auto,

and then was called back to the stage with Tony to accept

the Best Video Game award for the game

itself. The awards ceremony was hosted by Jamie

Kennedy of JKX: The Jamie Kennedy Experiement

on the WB. G-Phoria Awards are presented

by the G4 television network for gamers.
