JIMI HENDRIX THE SEX TAPE" EXPLODES ON THE SCENE - The newest Vivid-Celeb feature, " Jimi Hendrix The Sex Tape ," made headlines 'round the world this week when The New York Times broke the news with a story by Mireya Navarro and Jeff Leeds . Their article on the front page of "The Arts" section was quickly picked up by major wire services, newspapers, websites and TV & radio outlets. The NYT article suggests that the movie and marketing of intimate moments of dead stars "adds a strange new dimension to the surge of voyeuristic entertainment that has swept Hollywood...It indicates how far people will go - and how far legends may fall - as audiences clamor for unvarnished details of celebrity life." "Vivid co-founder and co-chairman Steven Hirsch conducted an extensive inquiry led by private detective agencies to verify the authenticity of the Hendrix footage," according to the times. It quotes Steven Hirsch as saying, "there are many, many more casual Jimi Hendrix fans who certainly will be curious to see the other side" and did not worry about a potential backlash from ardent fans who may object to release of the movie. The NYT says Vivid has created a "45-minute DVD that combines 11 minutes of sex footage with a retrospective of Hendrix's career in the 1960s" and "includes commentary from two women who met Hendrix and say they believe the tape is real: Pamela Des Barres , the author of " I'm With the Band: Confessions of the Groupie " (1987), and Cynthia Albritton , better known as Cynthia Plaster Caster ...known for doing plaster casts of the genitals of rock stars, including Hendrix in 1968."

RAVE REVIEWS FOR VIVID-ALT'S MORPHINE - The popular website Adult DVD Empire loves " Morphine ." The latest from Vivid-Alt . directed by Kimberly Kane , received a 4.75 out of 5.00 rating and came Highly Recommended from reviewer Dinah-Mo Hum . Hum declared "not only was the sex rough, exciting and all around spectacular, the cinematography, soundtrack and settings were all very appealing as well." "Morphine" is a twisted tale about a drug-addicted young woman ( Audrey Hollander ) with big dreams of making a new life for herself as a Nashville songwriter. "I normally don't get into girl/girl scenes, but this was definitely the exception. Audrey is one of those girls who could wear a burlap sack and look totally hot, but with her ripped jeans, flowing red hair and tits spilling out of her tiny white top, your jaw will drop," says Hum. While the sex was great throughout, Hum's favorite scene starred Kimberly Kane. "The sex was rough, and if you watch this with the commentary on, Kimberly admits that this is one of the roughest scenes she's ever done...I love the intensity and the jail scene feel of this scene." Hum continues, "I had one major dilemma with this movie...I wanted to watch it in its entirety but I just couldn't do it. The sex scenes were just too hot and I couldn't make it through the whole thing in one sitting, if you know what I mean!"

MEGGAN MALLONE DISHES ALL IN AN EXCLUSIVE ONLINE Q&A -Vivid Girl Meggan Mallone shares it all in a Q&A session with interviewer, Kobiata , who declares that "the newest addition to the Vivid lineup is a breath of fresh air!" The fiery Texan fearlessly dives into politics (she's for McCain !) and shares her opinion on the Eliot Spitzer/Call girl scandal in New York . She also dishes on her personal likes/dislikes but admits that her "sense of humor is pretty corny..." With four movies completed so far for Vivid, Meggan states her belief that porn contributes to society if "it's enjoyed in the privacy of one's own home...it is definitely a reliever of stress and repression...Sex is a totally natural act and should be thought of that way."
