Meggan and AVN's Paul Fishbein were guests on the popular Sirius Radio program. The Howard Stern/AVN Awards show promotion has been an annual tradition for nearly 25 years. Fishbein first appeared as a guest on Stern's radio show in connection with the second annual AVN Awards in 1984, but it was Meggan's first appearance. Said Fishbein as he prepared to go on the air: "It's exciting to appear on Howard Stern's show again this year with one of the Best New Starlet nominees, Meggan Mallone." Taking a look at Meggan for the first time when she walked into his New York City studio, Stern announced: "You look too good for porno." Meggan and Stern bantered back and forth an Meggan told the audience that her specialty is giving "wicked" blowjobs. She recalled that an improvised fight scene with Vivid Girl Hanna Hilton while making "Meggan and Hanna Love Manuel" was tough because the two actresses are actually good friends. But the scene went well and the result was that "We tainted that guy," speaking of actor Manuel Ferrara, who is up for AVN's Male Performer of the Year award. After the Stern show Meggan met Hanna in midtown Manhattan to do holiday shopping. They also rewarded themselves by joining friends at dinner at the trendy One Little W. 12th Street restaurant in the Meatpacking District. When last seen they were heading to Central Park for a buggy ride and a nightcap.
VIVID IN THE "NEWSWEEK" SPOTLIGHT - Newsweek magazine reporters Anne Kuchmen and Karen Springen quoted Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch this week in their story about a new Nielsen Online survey that says more employees are viewing porn online during working hours. "People are looking for an escape," Steven tells Newsweek. The article continues: "And rightly or wrongly, they think their bosses are too busy to notice." Because the boss is busy "sometimes people are able to hide out and no one knows what they're doing." But the magazine believes that "a larger factor is the evolving sense-not universally shared-that porn is no big deal." The headline for the Newsweek story: "The Tangled Web of Porn In the Office: What's driving workers to get their kicks on company time? It's one more thing we can pin on the slow economy." The Newsweek article was picked up by numerous other media outlets, ranging from the New York Daily News to WCCO-TV in Minneapolis.
