SHAUNA'S NYC POLE TWIRL GETS MORE PRESS - The paparazzi cameras were clicking non-stop when Shauna Sand spun a couple times around the stripper pole during the party last week for her at Rick's Cabaret in New York City, and the pictures keep showing up in print and on the Internet. Typical is this report from TonyBatman.com: "The busty blonde beauty and former Playboy Model was celebrating the release of Vivid Entertainment's DVD "Shauna Sand Exposed." During the party she surprised everyone and jumped on the stripper pole, dancing for Rick's Cabaret's typical audience of moneyed businessmen who really enjoyed the impromptu show. 'Shauna couldn't resist the pole,' said Rick's Cabaret Girl Avalon (34D-25-33), 'and she was quite good-her boobs are huge!' TimesSquareGossip.com noted that Shauna "turned her appearance at Rick's Cabaret NYC this week into an impromptu fundraiser for victims of the earthquake in Haiti." The site praised her choice of Rick's Cabaret as the venue for the party, noting, "It is by far the most high class gentleman's club in this town, probably the world."

JANINE CLEARED TO DO VIVID MOVIE, THEN OFF TO HALFWAY HOUSE - Janine Lindemulder will shoot a B. Skow directed Vivid movie and then report to a halfway house in Portland, Oregon. Janine discussed her schedule in an interview this week with AVN's Mark Kernes. She reports to the halfway house on February 5th in connection with charges that she violated terms of her probation on an income tax case. She says that following two hearings a U.S. District Court Judge withdrew an earlier order that she refrain from making more adult movies. "This is a major victory," Janine told AVN. "They had two hearings involving the U.S. government. The judge had said absolutely not, and what he was basing his decision on was that he had watched the Linda Lovelace documentary where she was abused, and he thought the industry was as it was portrayed in the Linda Lovelace thing. We finally convinced him, saying it's not like that whatsoever, and so he didn't approve it; what he said was, 'I'm not approving it but I'm not denying it, so if you want to do it, go ahead,' but he didn't want to put his stamp of approval on it. So it is a go, and we're going to shoot that before I have to report, but it was really exciting, because for porn to go up against the government and win is always exciting." The judge earlier had forbidden her from appearing in any form of adult entertainment until after the completion of her sentence, which is scheduled to occur on Sept. 7, 2010. But Janine pressed the issue of her work, and her attorney filed a motion asking the judge to reconsider his ruling he did January 20th. "What we were fighting for was the right to work," Janine explained, noting that the movie with B. will include her first ever anal scene. Janine told AVN that the Vivid movie will be the only one in which she will participate.

LIA'S COVER CRAVED BY XCRITIC - Xcritic.com loves the cover of Lia's First Time, her first movie as a Vivid Girl. The popular adult film review site chose it as a "Covers We Crave" winner last week. TRISTAN INTRODUCES NEW PHOTO BOOK - Vivid-Ed director Tristan Taormino has written the introduction to Off the Set, a new hardbound book of photographs by Paulie & Pauline that explore the off-screen romantic relationships of ten couples who perform in adult films. The book by the New York City based creative team will be published by Aural Pink Press and is scheduled for release on April 2nd. Promotion for the book notes that Tristan is a best-selling author, columnist, editor, sex educator and feminist film maker. She is the author of six books, including True Lust: Adventures in Sex, Porn and Perversion and The Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex for Women. She has been an award-winning director for Vivid Entertainment since 2006. She wrote the popular syndicated sex column Pucker Up for The Village Voice for almost ten years.
