VIVID CONSIDERS KARISSA VIDEO – The celebrity websites and tv shows were buzzing this week about whether Vivid will market a new sex video “starring” Playboy Playmate Karissa Shannon and actor Sam Jones III.   As E-Online reports:  “Steven Hirsch of adult video company Vivid claims to have sex tape footage of Shannon with her boyfriend, Smallville actor Sam Jones III.  ‘We were really impressed at how amazingly hot it was,’ Hirsch said. ‘We're hoping we can make a deal quickly on this as we're already hearing from Karissa's fans who want to know if we will be releasing her tape.’  Hirsch maintains he received the tape from a third party, who he has refused to identify.”  

E! NEWS COVERS CROSSOVER STARS -- E! Entertainment News this week examined the crossover success stories of porn queens Jenna Jameson and Sasha Grey – who has starred in Vivid-Ed features, Throat: A Cautionary Tale, and is the star of Malice in Lalaland, distributed by Vivid.  In "Adult Film Stars Go Mainstream," Sasha discussed her recent appearances in Steven Soderbergh's The Girlfriend Experience and HBO's Entourage. The segment also covered Montana Fishburne, whose Vivid release Montana Fisburne is the #1 feature the AVN Retail Buzz chart.

SUNNY IN THE VIRGINITY HIT – Vivid superstar Sunny Leone plays a sizzling hottie in "The Virginity Hit" the latest comedy from Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's production company, which opens in theaters across the country on Friday, September 10th. Sunny attended the premiere of the movie in Hollywood on Tuesday. The nerd teen sex quest comedy from Gary Sanchez Production stars newcomers Andrew Gurland and Matt Bennett and is being distributed by Columbia Tri Star Motion Picture Group. "Making the movie was great fun and was a totally comfortable experience for me," says Sunny. "It was shot in New Orleans where we took over part of the city.  Everyone on the set was very relaxed and we all hung out together. I get chosen as the favorite porn star of the virgin character 'Matt' pretty early in movie, and we eventually hook up with the goal of having sex," Sunny adds.  "There is, however, a surprise twist in the plot." Sunny's real life SunLust Pictures partner, Daniel Weber, also makes an appearance in the movie as a tattooed biker dude and music from his band Spyderz (he plays lead guitar) is licensed to the movie.  Sunny and Daniel invite Matt onto their tour bus where the pivotal scene in the movie takes place.

MONTANA STAYS IN THE NEWS AND ATOP THE AVN BUZZ CHART – Vivid’s newest sensation, Montana Fishburne, continues to be much in demand for interviews on radio, TV, magazines and the web.  Her Montana Fishburne movie remains #1 on the AVN Buzz chart.  An US Magazine  interview with Montana was headlined: “I Expect to Be the Next Kim Kardashian.”   US picked up a quote from the recent The Hollywood Reporter story, “I'm actually getting a lot of mainstream offers…They are acting roles. I'm open to scripted and reality. It just all depends on what the project it is. If something truly interests me, I'll get super involved and want to make it happen."  In the US story she talked about her childhood, which she says was "traditionally unconventional. I've had divorced parents since I was 2, and my dad was a really famous actor, so it was as conventional as it could be. We had the best of the best: private schools, traveling all over the world. I've had a happy life."   This week’s XPeeps newsletter from VOD leader AEBN, notes in an interview with Montana that she has “succeeded in launching perhaps the most talked-about porn debut in years, if not ever.” Writer Corva Siouan notes: “Depending on where you look, you can see people praising or puzzling over Montana's big debut. Everyone wants to know why: why did she get into porn, why didn't she get into mainstream acting using her dad's help? Well, as Montana has said numerous times, even though her dad could have helped her get a mainstream part, he couldn't have helped her get into porn like she's dreamed of doing. As hard as it is for a lot of people to understand, this is what she wants to do because it's fun. ‘I feel a hundred percent comfortable,’ Montana says. ‘I feel like it's a safe environment. I feel like my fantasy is gonna come true and I feel like it's gonna be to the highest, it's gonna be like I dreamed it. I feel like I'm fulfilling my sexual dreams... it's just so fun in that way because whatever you want to happen can really happen.
