VIVID FEATURED ON ABC NIGHTLINE SEGMENT – Vivid founder and co-chairman Steven Hirsch was featured on an ABC “Nightline” segment Oct. 28th about the evolution of porn.  The “Retro Porn Revival” report focused on a new soft-core magazine called “Jacques,” but acknowledged that it “may never make as much money as a big porn studio like Vivid.” Interviewer Bill Weir asked Steven about changes in the industry since the 90s. “There’s so much adult product to choose from today. You can find every type of girl” and activity, Steven said. Weir noted that Hirsch and Vivid have pioneered in producing and marketing celebrity sex tapes and “porn parodies such as Batman XXX,” but lately he’s faced “a perfect storm of declining DVD sales, rampant piracy and Internet sites that give content away.”  Steven replied: “I don’t know where the industry will be in five or ten years; maybe the only way to fight free is to be free and to come up with a business model that supports that.”  As for the male performer who tested positive for HIV this month and caused Vivid to shut down production until performers were retested, Steven said: “I really do believe that this industry has done a great job of policing itself. There have been two people who have tested positive in the last four years, and during that time there have been probably 200,000 adult scenes being shot.”

 
VIVID POSTS CAPRI ANDERSON AUDITION VIDEO -- – Vivid.com has posted very explicit footage of Capri Anderson, Charlie Sheen’s date during his notorious rampage at the Plaza Hotel. Anderson was 18 years old when she made the audition tape with Vivid four years ago.  During the audition she speaks coquettishly about herself, noting that she is 5’6” and then bouncing her breasts as she discloses that she has a 32-B bra size she removes her clothes.  A G-rated version of Capri’s audition with Vivid was a big hit on TMZ.com this week. The popular gossip website headlined its brief article: “Charlie Sheen's Date -- The Porn Screen Test.”  The text said simply: “Capri Anderson was born for porn -- and if you have any doubts just look at how natural she was during her big audition four years ago with Vivid Entertainment.”  


XCRITIC CRAVES THE RUSSO TWINS – XCritic.com has singled out the new Introducing the Russo Twins DVD from Vivid for its elite ‘Covers We Crave’ honor.  Xbiz reports, “There aren't a lot of 'twins' titles out there in porn and unfortunately what is out there isn't really worth getting worked up over.  But Vivid Entertainment has been on a real winning streak lately. Between their celebrity sex tapes: Montana Fishburne and Karissa Shannon and their features: The Condemned and Malice in Lalaland they've been the studio to beat. Now Vivid is releasing a twins themed title called Introducing The Russo Twins. Directed by B. Skow this title looks like it could be the twins porn we've all been waiting for…Vivid's new release has got us worked up over Tati Russo and Taylor Russo, clearly a cover we crave.”


VIVID TO BEGIN PRODUCTION ON SISTER WIVES XXX: A PORN PARODY -- Vivid has announced it will start production of Sister Wives XXX:  A Porn Parody at the end of November. The popular TLC reality TV series is about the relationship dynamics of a modern day Utah-based polygamist family, including salesman-husband Kody Brown and his four wives – Meri, Janelle, Christine and the recently added Robyn. “I’m a big fan of this show and I feel the possibilities for parody are practically endless,” says B. Skow, picked to direct the parody. “We’ll have fun spoofing the characters and taking that extra behind-the-scenes step inside their bedrooms to understand their erotic sides.” Vivid held open casting for the movie last week.  It’s the latest porn parody sensation from Vivid.  Earlier this year Vivid distributed the Axel Braun produced Batman XXX: A Porn Parody a send-up of the 1960s TV series which was at the top of the sales charts for several months. The movie has already won Best Parody award at the 18th Annual NightMoves Awards Show and at The Fifth Annual F.A.M.E. Awards (Fans of Adult Media & Entertainment).

FRENCH MAG FEATURES LIA AND AJ – The French adult magazine ChoBix features two Vivid contract actresses in its current issue. AJ Bailey and Lia are each the subjects of two-page spreads in the magazine, with interviews by editor Tavalia Griffin.   AJ tells Griffin her favorite thing is the idea of people watching her movies, but fame is not her goal. “I couldn’t care less if I’m a celebrity, as long as I can cum,” she says.  For her part, Lia tells Griffin in her interview that until she first launched her own website she “had no idea how much money you can make in porn.” Today, along with her acting career, Lia says: “I love to watch pornos, and I do it a lot.”
