VIRUS FEAR KEEPING FANS AWAY FROM FREE “TUBE” SITES - The results of the Eighth Sex Tracker Survey conducted by XCritic.com and Vivid Entertainment are in. The survey indicates that many adult entertainment fans prefer to get their porn from traditional sources and they are willing to pay for it, in part because they are afraid of contracting a computer virus if they visit “free” porn sites. In fact, 14% of the respondents to the survey said they never visit “tube” sites to access free adult film clips, while 42% said they do click on them “once in awhile,” with 33% checking in often and 10% visiting daily. Nearly 45% of the respondents said they were “very” or “extremely” concerned that the “tube” sites could give them a computer virus, while nearly 41% said they were just “slightly” concerned and just over 14% were not at all concerned about getting an unwanted virus. Other results of the survey:  54% said they continue to spend about the same amount on videos and other adult content; 64% say the name of the studio producing a particular film has a purchase decision impact; 41% search for a star’s name; 39% are guided by a specific sex act. Of the respondents 95% are male, 51% are college graduates, 58% are employed full time and 59% watch football, with just under 39% favoring baseball.  Asked which activity they spend more time with, 16% said porn while nearly 36% said socializing with other people. 

 RAVERS PRAISE FOR CLERKS XXX – Ravers, the popular British adult magazine, has high praise for the new Vivid movie Clerks XXX: A Porn Parody.  The film stands out in a crowded field, the magazine says in its current “NewsSexion.”   Here’s the Ravers report:

XCRITIC.COM APPRECIATES ALLIE’S NATURAL BEAUTY - XCritic.com concluded it was a “no brainer” to choose the trailer for Allie Haze: Natural Beauty as its Clip of the Week.  The website notes: “One of the things we've always loved about Allie Haze is that she's naturally pretty. A star that's comfortable with her natural shape and doesn't mess with it is incredibly sexy!! Vivid gets this and they've captured Allie's beauty in Allie Haze: Natural Beauty. Allie isn't the only natural beauty in this flick; she's joined by Kelly Klass, Tia Cyrus, Ally Styles and one of our favorite natural beauties Adriana Luna!  VIVIDTV NAMES DAVID GUERRA AS SVP FOR LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN - VividTV, has appointed David Guerra as senior vice president of distribution and marketing for Latin America and the Caribbean.  David, who has more than 15 years of experience and solid international credentials in the television and telecommunications industry, will be based in Miami. He’ll report directly to Ken Boenish, the company’s global president, who says: “Bringing in top executives with an established career in the industry is a key to VividTV’s expansion in the international market. We are confident David’s experience will enable us to develop our business in Latin America rapidly and position VividTV as the brand that offers the region exclusive and award-winning multi-platform adult content.” Before joining the VividTV team, David was vice president of distribution for Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula for The Erotic Networks.  In this capacity, he directed and supervised all of the company’s activities in the region, including content sales and distribution, affiliate services, marketing, and commercial partner relations.  Previously he was director of sales at DLA, the leader in content distribution for on demand services in Latin America, where he was responsible for defining and implementing long-term sales and commercial partner strategies. Guerra has a degree in Telecommunications Sciences from the University of Lima, Peru.  He is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
