VIVID STUDIO INSIDER FOR NOVEMBER 21, 2014
MENSMAGDAILY INTERVIEWS AIDEN STARR – Mens Mag Daily has interviewed Aiden Starr, whose program “Diary of a Dominatrix” is heard Thursday and Friday at 4pm PT on www.VividRadio.com. The interview conducted by Jon DaBove begins: “For most of us, including yours truly, the idea of bondage, whips and chains, leather, and some hot chick dressed up like a biker getting ready to cause us some serious pain is not something we’re into. In fact, it can seem downright scary for a lot of reasons. It doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. The number of people who are into it is probably more than we can imagine and lucky for them there are women like Aiden Starr to help them fulfill their fantasies. Looking at this petite, blonde hottie you’d never imagine she was a dominatrix. She looks more like a box cover girl for Vivid’s latest release, but she’s one of the biggest names in the BDSM scene. Mens Mag Daily caught up with Aiden Starr to discuss her running a dungeon, going to college in New York City (majoring in biology and then computer science), and why she’s different from most girls.” Disclosing that she paid for her college education by working in BDSM clubs, she noted: “I went to NYU; no one would have batted an eye if they knew I worked at a dungeon. It’s a very liberal school. I was a phone girl at first and then became a Mistress. It’s always what I’ve been into. I hung out with the same people I did before I started college.” Aiden says “the fetish scene is really about community. It is comprised of the personalities and players who frequent play clubs and dungeons. One becomes big in the scene by garnering a reputation among the other patrons for being a stand up character who poses honesty, skill and integrity.” The interview also includes this exchange: “DaBove: I don’t mean any offense but you’re so little and cute. Looking at you, I would expect you to be a bubbly pornstar. Aiden Starr: Sweetie, I don’t think most women anywhere look like me. I’m a blonde Sicilian. There aren’t too many of those.”
TMZ ON RAY J’S “ASS-TRONOMICAL” KIM K TAPE PAYDAY –TMZ.com reports again this week on the money Ray J is making from his share of the Kim Kardashian sex tape marketed by Vivid. TMZ reports: “Ray J has a knack for making money when Kim Kardashian gets naked ... and he hit the jackpot again with last week's nude photos. The photos triggered renewed interest in Kim K Superstar, and our sources at Vivid Entertainment say sales of the video have dramatically spiked ... so much so, Ray J will pocket $50K from the last week alone ... way up from what's he's been getting. Ray has been getting around $90K every 3 months, so this is a real ass-tronomical increase. Steve Hirsch, president of Vivid Entertainment, tells TMZ the most recent spike makes Kim K Superstar the biggest selling celebrity sex tape of all time. Until last week, the title holders were Pam Anderson and Tommy Lee.”

XCRITIC PRAISES WETWORK – XCritic.com reviewer Don Houston gives a coveted “highly recommended” review of Wetwork. He says the Vivid feature directed by Eli Cross “was one of this season’s sleepers until it appeared on the radars of both XBiz and AVN’s nomination lists, the movie holding its own against sentimental features, episodic serials, and other productions being hailed by the unknowing as ‘the best of the best.’ The acting was credible, the technical aspects superior to most, and the sexual encounters passionate while part of the story rather than tacked on as you see elsewhere. In short, Wetwork worked as a whole rather than the sum of its parts as the kind of original creative feature we should see much more of but those parts were individually well handled too, a rarity in this day and age so check this one out to see why some very opinionated people found it so much fun to watch, and why it should win some awards.” Wetwork has already been selected by NightMoves as a “First Choice Winner (predictions for next year’s big DVD winners, for films released after this year’s voting deadline).
