VIVID STUDIO INSIDER FOR FEBRUARY 5, 2016

SUNNY SIDE UP DEBUTS WITH MEDIA FRENZY Sunny Side Up, a movie starring world famous female pro wrestling legend Tammy Lynn “Sunny” Sytch has made its debut on Vivid.com and VividTV and will be out on DVD Feb. 9. Vivid’s founder/co-chairman Steven Hirsch helped launch the movie with a statement that said: “We are thrilled that Sunny will be joining such celebrities as Kim Kardashian, Kendra Wilkinson, Farrah Abraham, Pamela Anderson, Chyna and others who have also starred in Vivid-Celeb movies.” And Sunny said: “I’ve always been a fan of adult movies. I consider myself extremely sexual and I’m also a voyeur. When I first thought about making the movie I was terrified. But then, as I was making it, I loved it. Vivid made the process a pleasure and I found everything about the company more professional than any wrestling experience.” Known as the original “Diva,” Sunny is one of the most popular female personalities in the history of sports. Her achievements include being a two time Slammy Award Winner, a member of the WWE Hall of Fame, the New England Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame and Pro Wrestling Illustrated Manager of the Year. In her adult movie debut she shows off her highly erotic side in three scorching scenes, including one with memorable back door action. Sunny reveals everything about her life in her new autobiography, A Star Shattered, in e-book and paperback form which is available at riverdaleavebooks.com, amazon.com, iTunes.com and wherever books are sold online.

Writing about the release of Sunny Side Up, TMZ said: “Tammy Sytch is licking her chops at the release of her celeb porn video that hit the Internet Tuesday and challenged former wrestler turned porn star Chyna to a sex match. Now that she's prime time in the porn world, Tammy's taking the opportunity to challenge her friend Chyna, telling us ... ‘without a doubt she can kick my ass in the wrestling ring, but I really don't think she stands a chance against me where it matters most: In the bedroom.’" The movie’s release received huge press coverage. AIPDaily.com had an early review of the movie, writing: “this one is a knockout, literally.”

The release of Sunny Side Up was preceded with numerous stories speculating on whether Tammy had or had not made a movie, led by a TMZ story that began with the headline: “WWE DIVA TAMMY SYTCH Signs On the Dotted Line I'VE DONE A PORN!!” The TMZ story continued: “WWE fans rejoice -- Tammy Sytch has stripped down to have sex on camera -- she signed her deal with Vivid Entertainment. Sytch -- aka ex-diva Sunny -- tells TMZ she and Vivid honcho Steve Hirsch recently came to an agreement. Vivid's already running a teaser clip with, but we're told she'll be shooting new footage for the final release, which has a very Farrah Abraham-ish title -- Sunny Side Up…The only downside to her porn deal -- Sytch tells us she's taking her WWE Hall of Fame ring off the auction block. Somehow we think her hardcore fans would take that trade.” We could tell Tammy was excited to get to work when she talked about it on TMZ Sports. Reports on the Tammy movie and Vivid teaser were carried on HollywoodLife.com, Inquisitr.com, The Mirror in the UK, TheBigLead.com, ProWrestlingOnly.com, 411Mania.com, Uproxx.com and many others.

STEVEN HIRSCH ON ADULT INDUSTRY: “STABLE”  In a wide-ranging interview with the Las Vegas Sun newspaper following the recent Adult Entertainment Expo, Vivid chief Steven Hirsch said “the industry is stable this year, neither losing money due to piracy or other scenarios but neither making money. Just stable.” Reporter Robin Leach wrote: “Steven was excited that he offered $1 million to Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez after she was dethroned in a mistake by Miss Universe Pageant host Steve Harvey, who incorrectly named her the winner when it turned out to actually be Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach. ‘The $1 million offer for a sex tape would have increased her fame and fortune past that of Miss Universe,’ Steven told me. ‘I would have given her the choice of whomever she wanted to be with on film. We haven’t received a response yet.’ Steven found more success with World Wrestling Entertainment diva Tammy Lynn Sytch, aka Sunny. The day after he and I talked, it was reported that she had signed a deal with Vivid for an adult film to be titled Sunny Side Up: In Through the Back Door. ‘We have had great success with our Celebrity Sex Tapes,’ Steven said, noting Kim Kardashian, Farrah Abraham, Pamela Anderson with Tommy Lee and ring queen Chyna. ‘It’s all about the unique content. Sunny is perfect for this. It’s why our swinger series has proved so popular from different cities around the country.’ Las Vegas-based rock star Phil Varone has shot his 100% Real Swingers series in Orlando, Ohio, Tennessee and Las Vegas. The Vivid Celebrity imprint turned ‘celebrity sex tape’ into household words and helped launch the Kardashian phenomenon in the process. Steven surprised me saying that he’s of the opinion that the DVD porn business is over: ‘Less than five percent of our business now comes from DVD sales. The Internet business has been stable, but I don’t see a lot of growth there.’ He’s bullish on his TV business with on-demand programming to cable and satellite outlets. Vivid’s movies are seen online, on VividTV worldwide, in Video on Demand and DVD. ‘Our business is up, and television has been a part of that. That’s our main focus today, and we’re in 80 million homes domestically and expanding around the world. Our headcount increased by 30 percent in 2015.’ I asked if he was interested in the virtual-reality business since the adult industry seems swept up in its potential euphoria. ‘I’m focused on the television aspect of our business, which doesn’t require glasses to have the same experience. I’m not as sold on the new technology as many people are. Again, it comes back to the content. If we keep creating new, unique content, we’ll be solid. But we’re working to provide clips for one VR company. ‘I think the focus will wind up being on cam girls either in their own apartments or in studios. That technology to watch on an interactive basis for the viewer to control right on your television in real time rather than Internet computer is here, and I believe that’s where future money-making aspects will be.’ Steven also has 24/7 Vivid Radio, the most listened to adult radio network in the world now celebrating its second anniversary on Sirius XM. For the third consecutive year, it led 11 hours of live coverage with his stars Aiden Starr, Ash Hollywood, Nicki Hunter, Tanya Tate, Ana Foxx, Monique Alexander, Kaylani Lei and Julia Ann. Vivid, in addition to its erotic film entertainment, has branded products ranging from vodka to apparel and condoms to gentlemen’s clubs. Steven also has three reality-TV series about sex, two of which aired on Showtime. ‘We will keep seeking new fields to market our product because the demand is out there, and it’s not ever going away,’ he concluded.”

NAKEDNEWS.COM ANCHORS AND VIVID RADIO HOSTS TALK SQUIRTING  Beautiful anchors from NakedNews.com visit each week on the air with the gorgeous Vivid Radio hosts to talk about the most outrageously intimate subjects.  Last week anchor Elia Adams was on Mary Carey's Happy Hour (Tues., Jan. 26) and the subject was women squirting. Mary told the story of a time she was shooting a movie with a girl who was known to be a "squirter."  Apparently the girl drank lots of liquids prior to going on the set. Mary, who prepared for the scene by wearing goggles, was squirted in the face. Elia said she remembered squirting just once and it felt like she was going to pee.  She told listeners that the liquid in a squirt was actually made up partially of urine and that it was possible for a woman to squirt without having an orgasm.  You never know what you might hear if you listen to www.VividRadio.com .

VIVID RADIO HOSTS WATCH “SHOWGIRLS” FOR THRILLIST  Thirllist writer Jeremy Glass sat down with several Vivid Radio hosts recently for a viewing of the cult movie Showgirls. Glass’s report on the highly ranked men’s site noted that Showgirls “became a timeless gem that represented America's love affair with exploitative B movies during the Waterworld-era of film. Public opinion aside, since its release 20-odd years ago Showgirls has sorely lacked a critical response from the one market that truly matters: exotic dancers. It’s a rare treat when the subjects of a movie are able to congregate in one area at the same time and talk about said movie while eating popcorn. But, that’s exactly what happened when I was allowed full access to the girls of Vivid Radio who have experience dancing at gentlemen’s clubs.” Comments by the hosts during the screening of the movie included Ryan Keely’s thought on the film’s nude scenes: “Bad acting and pretty bodies.” Kianna Bradley, speaking about a scene in which actor Kyle MacLachlan orgasms during a lap dance: “See, I would’ve charged extra money if he came. I had a guy who would wear sweatpants every single time… he would cum and I would charge him $125 extra.” On the dancing, Ryan said: "I don't think Elizabeth Berkley is that good of a dancer." On the overall weirdness of the movie, Mary Carey said: “My god, the acting was so bad!”
