VIVID STUDIO INSIDER FOR APRIL 1, 2016

VIVID RADIO SPORTS SPOTLIGHT SET TO LAUNCH APRIL 4  VividRadio.com and Sports Overnight America, as  heard on the Sports Byline USA broadcast network, have teamed up to create a new segment -- the Vivid Radio Sports Spotlight. It launches Monday, April 4, just in time to kick off the Major League Baseball season. Each month the hosts of Vivid Radio will pick their favorite Major League player. On the inaugural segment, popular former Vivid Girl and sports fan Monique Alexander will appear on Sports Overnight America (11:10 p.m. PDT) to tell listeners why she thinks Washington Nationals right fielder Bryce Harper is hot … and not just on the field. Gerrie Burke, host of Sports Overnight America, will reciprocate with an appearance that day on Monique’s Vivid Radio show (noon to 1 p.m. PDT) to talk about why Harper’s career is hot. “Our audience loves sports and the beautiful girls from Vivid Radio,” said Darren Peck, president of Sports Byline USA. “We think Gerrie’s show is perfect for this segment. To celebrate he’ll be giving away some of the best selling movies from Vivid.com to lucky listeners every time we do it.” “All of our hosts think that this new segment will be fun for both networks,” said Farrell Hirsch, general manager of Vivid Radio. “They have strong opinions about anyone in the news and they are not reluctant to voice them.”

BRANDY ANISTON DOES BOOM BOOM+ RADIO Vivid Radio host Brandy Aniston did a lengthy interview this week with the Australian station Boom Boom Radio. Brandy told the audience that in addition to her weekly Vivid Radio program (Monday, 4 pm PT) she is studying radio at a California college. “When I got in the college radio studio they realized I wasn’t an amateur. Now my fellow students are my close friends. They ask me lots of questions, usually about sex. They feel comfortable talking to me about their innermost personal things.” Although she has been in adult entertainment since she was 18, Brandy says, “I’ve fallen in love with radio…it’s the only passion I have now. It has taught me how to talk for an hour straight, with no music and no other interaction, and not be boring.” Her Vivid Radio program has also evolved: “The first the show had an entertainment theme and we were very involved talking about celebrity sex tapes. Now the listeners want to hear more sexual content. We do get some wild and wonderful conversations going and a wide variety of listeners from all over the country calling in and it’s always great fun.”

KIM K SUPERSTAR SEX TAPE BACK IN THE NEWS The famous Kim Kardashian sex tape distributed by Vivid roared back into the news this week. The headlines began with a Page Six story in the New York Post about a new book called Kardashian Dynasty by Ian Halperin, which claims Kim Kardashian, Superstar featuring Kim and her then boyfriend Ray J was all part of a plan by her mother, Kris Jenner, to make Kim famous. The new book claims. Kim signed a contract with Vivid Entertainment in 2007 after the tape was leaked and that it was all set up by Kris. Halperin quotes a source from the “adult film industry as saying: “A mutual friend of Kim and Paris [Hilton] had advised her that if she wanted to achieve fame, a sex tape would be the way to go …Kim had discussed the idea of producing a tape with her family beforehand…it was Kris who engineered the deal behind the scenes and was responsible for the tape seeing the light of day.” The Post story and coverage of the new book was picked up by scores of newspapers and pop culture websites, including RadarOnline, which wrote: “Of course, this isn’t the first time fingers have pointed to the Kardashian matriarch. ‘Kris was totally involved in arranging the sale of Kim’s tape,’ a source previously told Radar of Kim’s on-camera tryst with her then-boyfriend.” Other worldwide coverage could be seen in the Daily Mirror of London, the Irish Independent, the News of Australia, the Toronto Sun, Fox News and many others.
